A blind lady Susie (Audrey Hepburn) is alone at home, and robbers enter her house searching for a doll stuffed with drugs. The robbers pretend to be friends of  her husband, and try to fool her by taking advantage of  her blindness to retrieve the doll. They forget that she is blind, but like other blind people, her hearing is better than that of  most people.

After hearing their whispers, Susie realizes that the robbers are out to harm her. She waits until dark, and then proceeds to break all the lighting in the room. The robbers cannot see in the darkness and she outwits them.

The movie was very well directed, you remain glued to your seat till the end. I saw the movie many years ago, but I still remember the scene where she takes a stick and starts smashing the lighting. I also liked the message of  the movie - you may be having many handicaps , but  you can use your one great gift to overcome all your difficulties .

The Internet Movie Database (IMDB) has information on most English movies, actors, television shows and video games. As the information in the database increased, it  became a commercial venture in 1995. The website was subsequently purchased by  Amazon in 1998 and used as a platform to sell movie DVDs and videos.

For most popular and recently released movies, IMDB provides comprehensive information - plot summaries, reviews, box office performance, production and distribution companies, complete cast and crew details, filming locations, technical specifications, promotional content,  trivia .
